According to fellow collectors expertise, this blade was probably made by Johann Gottfried Katterberg around 1770 or Philipp Wolfertz around 1777. Both Solingen makers that used the name Raisin on their blades. The hilt is probably French and was once guilded on the background of the motives, traces can still be seen under magnifying glass.
Total length: 94 cm, Bladelength: 77,5 cm, 24 mm wide and 8 mm thick at the base. Fuller along the entire blade, that indicates the tip may have been broken and resharpened.
